URGENT home needed for Rhianne (already in the UK)!!!

Beautiful Rhianne is looking for a forever home. She is is emergency foster in Wales as her adoptive home didn't work out. The resident dog took a dislike to her however Rhianne has been as good as gold since she arrived from Romania just two weeks ago.

Rhianne is collie height and aged around 18 months. She is sociable and loving with people and enjoys going for walks and having tummy tickles. No cats for Rhianne or other small furries.

Virtual Adopters needed

RagsCan you take care of a dog virtually, until a forever home is found?  We are always looking for Virtual Adopters who ensure our dogs are housed and fed until we can find their homes either in the UK or Europe.  Virtual Adopters pay £40 which cover the cost of their keep which is just £1.30 a day.  Please contact us if you can help.

Frankie and Barney in the UK and needing a home...

We really need to find forever homes for the gorgeous Frankie and Barney, previous inmates at PS Bragadiru, who are now in foster in Birmingham England.

These boys have learnt so much from their foster Mum Jackie and are now ready for the next stage in their journey .. the 'final leap home'!!

Frankie is aged around 16 months and Barney is coming up for two years. They are sweet boys who get on well with other dogs and enjoy walks and playing. Frankie is the more excitable and energetic of the two.

Please consider giving one of these boys a home of their own. Not only do they deserve to finally belong but we need a space in the foster home as we have many desperate souls losing their spirit in kennels in Romania.

Can you offer a home to Emma? Transport may be funded.....

Meet Emma

She has been with us a while now and we are desperate to see her settled in a loving home.

Emma is a very loving girl, around 3 years old but would need help in settling into a home environment (she has been in our foster kennels for far too long).  We cannot understand how this loving girl hasn't found her family yet.  She is 20-23kg, she is a very sweet loving shy girl who adores gentle affection from people and is good with other dogs.

Please get in touch if you could offer Emma a home she so deserves.  She will make someone a smashing companion.

See her details here.

Emergency Appeal .... Ludo!

Ludo was found semi-paralysed in his hind limbs on Wednesday evening.  Prior to this he was a bouncy, playful chap and we are all in enormous shock.  If this wasn't bad enough, he was shortly to leave on transport out of Romania for good.

We are unsure as yet what has happened but are transferring him from Deva to Bucharest to see a specialist vet, Lucian Rugina as the local vets do not have facilities to treat this.  This is a 1,000km round trip.

We are appealing for any donations to help us with Ludo's treatment.  At the very least he will need x-rays and hopefully more advanced imaging if possible, to try and locate the problem.  Then of course to assist with treatment.   If you can help in any way, please visit our Youcaring page or via the donate button on the home page.

New rescues arrive at Angel Watch - can you help us?

We have some wonderful new arrivals from the Public Shelter that are now safe in our foster care.  All of these new arrivals need help with virtual sponsorship and of course finding their forever homes.  Please, if you would like to sponsor or can offer a loving home, please contact us.

Meet Smurf!

Fantastic new sponsor for Angel Watch

We are absolutely thrilled to have received sponsorship for 6 of our dogs for a whole year from a wonderful man called James.  This means guaranteed food and shelter for 6 lucky dogs.  We rely solely on donations, fundraising and auctions and each month we struggle to balance food bills, veterinary bills and maintaining shelters.  Winter is also especially harsh, with weather proofing kennels against the snow and extra straw to help keep the dogs as warm as we can.  From the bottom of our heart, James, you are absolutely wonderful and we cannot thank you enough!

Food Appeal - Winter 2016

We are very excited to announce we will be sending regular monthly food donations from our UK address to Bucharest. We desperately need dried dog food (we can get 17 kg for £12 in the UK) - one large bag feeds a dog for a whole month! Please can you donate a bag to help us feed the dogs?  Food can be ordered on line and delivered directly to our address in the UK (please email us for details). You can also buy smaller bags and other donations from our Amazon Wish List.  We always need donations of wormers, advocate for dogs and cats, collars and leashes for medium / large dogs, bowls, plastic beds, blankets, warm bedding, toys and treats - all of which can also be posted, delivered or sent from our Amazon wish list.

Romanian winters are harsh and without your wonderful donations we would struggle to rescue and help as many dogs as we do.

Of course if you wish to donate money directly to us please use the donate button on our home page.

Any donations can be sent to our UK Food Appeals Manager at:

Urgent, experienced foster carers needed...

We urgently need experienced foster carers for our 'Project' dogs.  Please see details below.  If you can help then please do contact us.

Dogs, puppies and cats

It's a really busy time for us at Angel Watch and we have many lovely dogs, puppies and cats needing homes.  Please take a look at our adoption page as we may just have that special family member you've been dreaming of.

Angels visit to Romania

25th May was the beginning of a new adventure at Angel Watch Rescue and Rehome, when two of the mangers from UK Laura Glenski and Susan Thompson spent a week to check the conditions of our dogs in Bucharest and Deva.  Obviously whilst they were there, they had a save a few more from the Public Shelters, so I'm pleased to say another 11 dogs came into our care.  We have several dogs undergoing veterinary care whilst in our private foster kennels and we hope to be able to share our new dogs with you very shortly.

Obviously saving lives especially when dogs are poorly is a huge strain on our Charity, so please, if you can help with a donation, no matter how small to help us with our veterinary bills, we would be so very grateful.  Here are just a few of our new arrivals....

Welcome to our fabulous Find The Easter Bunny fundraiser.

Welcome to our fabulous Find The Easter Bunny fundraiser.

The Easter Bunny is hiding somewhere in the grounds of Valentines Mansion, along with 7 lovely Easter presents she’s hidden away for you to find. All you have to do is choose one or more squares and see if you can find the Easter Bunny and her presents.

All the money raised will go to directly to help Angel Watch Rescue and Rehome rescue stray dogs and cats from the streets of Romania and from the notorious public shelters in Bucharest, Timisoara and Deva. There are so many desperate souls in need of help, and every penny will make a difference.

Squares are £3 each. Please post the numbers of the square(s) you’ve chosen, from 1 to 50, and send your payment to susan.thompson100@btinternet.com.

Prizes will be awarded using a random number generator at the end of the competition.

13 is a lucky number - saved from death row

March has started off very busy.  So busy, that we have managed to rescue 13 dogs out of a Public Shelter, which is notorious for its filthy conditions and terrible treatment of the dogs that are there.

Here are some before and after photos...it's amazing the difference after just four days of these dogs being in our private foster care.  Of course, we now need help to find the forever homes they so desperately need and also urgenly need virtual sponsors to help cover their fees until a new home can be found.  Please, if you can help in any way at all, do contact us.  We need all the help we can possibly find to give these dogs a happy ending.

Join our Angels Club!

Luna, Ben and Deea need your help

Hello everyone we hope you are well and have had a good start to the year

We hope 2015 will be a great year for rescue work, and we look forward to working with you, our dear friends, and saving many more souls.

A priority for the start of 2015 is to find adopters or foster placements for our long stay rescues or those dogs who will need an extra special home. We will start with Luna, Ben & Deea

Luna has been in our private foster since August, at just one year old she is a loving, energetic and playful girl. She is a mini Rotti at around 12kg, and is very social with people and dogs.

Ben, around 10 years old and Lab sized he was pulled from death row in October. He is scared of people of defensive and needs a strong experienced human who can give him guidance and patience to learn that people and life can be good.

Deea is around 9 and saved from the streets after being targeted by the dog catchers. She is very scared and reserved with people and needs an experienced human to show her the way to happiness.

*** We can fund transport for these dogs to go a foster home. If you can help any of these dogs by offering a forever home, foster home, donations for their travel pot, or a back up foster in the case of emergency please let us know. They really need us to work together to find a solution for them **

A Christmas miracle - Codita

Once upon a time there was a dog called Codita (tail).  He was the mascot of a block of flats and everyone loved him.  Since the law of murdering the stray dogs came into effect, many people would hide Codita in the stairways or in their apartments.

One night, the dog catchers came like theives and pulled Codita out of the apartment block.  Codita ran for his life but was chased by tens of dog catchers and a police squad.  Poor Codita was totally surrounded.  He fought with everything he had to escape but he was grabbed by his tail and testicles and dragged towards the dog catchers car.  People from the apartment block were now starting to gather to see what was happening to their stray apartment dog.

After one last desperate fight Codita escapes but his tail is severed and broken off at the anus. A lady who took care of Codita attacked the dog catchers giving Codita enough time to make it to private land and hide under a car.

Members of the Angel Watch Team were able to rush in and managed to pick up Codita and get him straight our vet.  Codita is safe.  He is with us.  Our Christmas miracle!
